      Abstract:

      With over 28 million substances and more than 26 million refs.   SciFinder  from CAS is the world's largest repository of   chem. and life- sciences  related information.  CAS   editorial staff annotate the refs. in this  database   identifying key concepts and substances found within the    assocd. documents.  Previously it has been reported that   bioactivity  related concepts have been assocd. with   specific substances based on a  shared presence in a   document.  Taking the next step forward CAS has now    assocd. specific substances with a hierarchy of more than   30,000  specific biomol. targets.  Using these two   features in combination it is  possible to assoc. biomol.   targets with bioactivity based on shared  small mols.    Specific examples of this functionality will be provided.
