Supramol. chem. allows for complexation of guest mols. within the cavity of a host mol. Complexation of this kind helps the transportation of guest mol. to and from different media. Soly. of the complex contg. host mol. is an important property for such effort. Previous studies have shown that supramol. complexation can modify the soly. of the host mol. thereby affecting their solvent dependant transport. Here we report the comparative studies on complexation of calix[n]arene (n = 4, 6) and β-cyclodextrin with org. guest mols. as 4-aminothiophenol, 4-aminophenol and phenylmalimide. Spectroscopic methods and soly. measurements will be used for comparison
