    Presentation of the results of my work as a PhD student. It describes the effects of a conjugate thermal field on supercooled liquids, i.e. on the configurational entropy, particle mobility, and the homogeneous crystal nucleation of Lennard Jones, carbon dioxide and water systems. The approach can be used for the rare event sampling of ordering processes. If an experimental realization of this approach can be found, it will have ramifications for nanopattern formation / nanostructure design.
