How to Create a March for Science Event Entry

To create your own satellite March for Science event entry here:

  1. In a new tab, open March for Science - Chicago so you can copy the text
  2. In a different tab, open March for Science 2017-April-22
  3. In the lower toolbar, locate "Actions" (to the right)
  4. Pull down to "Event"
  5. Entitle your entry "March for Science - (your city)"
  6. Copy the contents of the Chicago entry and paste them into yours
  7. Replace the URLs for the Resources (Website, Facebook, Twitter, etc.), replace "Chicago" with (your city)
  8. Scroll down and set the date to 4/22/2017. Start and end time as appropriate or guessed
  9. When done, scroll down and click the "Publish" button
  10. Optional:
    1. Add tags: "march for science", "march for science (your city)", "(your city)", "science activism", "science policy"
    2. Add your satellite's logo: Click the "image" button in the editor (Screen Shot 2017-02-02 at 10.06.20 PM.png), browse for your image file, then click the "insert" button. Click on your image and then "right justify" it in the editor.
  11. Celebrate!
