How Should Undergraduates Acknowledge Research Aid

    Two undergraduates having problems making a temperature measurement are discussing this with a graduate student from another area who tells them of a new kind of probe she just read about.  The undergraduates find the article, order the probe, and carry out a very successful study.  Their paper is entered in a national contest and wins a large cash prize. What should they do, if anything, about the help and information they received?
