The Chemistry Department at Pacific Lutheran University will be hiring a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Chemistry for the 2020-2021 academic year. The search committee will begin reviewing applications on September 3, 2019.
Saint Martin’s University, a private Catholic, Benedictine university located in Western Washington, invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Chemistry program to begin in August 2019. The successful candidate will have a Ph. D. in chemistry with expertise in biochemistry. The candidate will be expected to teach at least one semester of Biochemistry plus lab, Chemistry for Engineers or General Chemistry, and other courses as needed. The candidate should have a strong desire to teach at the undergraduate level. In addition, the candidate is encouraged to perform original research involving undergraduate students.
Faculty members are expected to support the Catholic, Benedictine liberal arts mission of the university. Candidates must have valid documentation permitting them to work in the US from the date on which the appointment at Saint Martin’s takes effect. The position is subject to final budgetary approval.
