2020 Chemistry Olympiad

The U.S. Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO) is an annual, multi-tiered competition for high school students.  The Puget Sound Section proctors the Local Examination in March followed by the National Examination in April. Winners of the National Examination move on to compete at the international level in the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) in July.

 

The Local Examination is used to select the finalists that will move on the the national level of the Chemistry Olympiad (i.e the National Examination).  The Puget Sound Section of the ACS is allowed a maximum of 13 finalists to move on to the national level.  There is a limit of 2 finalists per school.

 

The 2020 Local Exam will take place in mid or late March at Bellevue College. The National Exam will be held in April at Bellevue College. Details TBD.

 

The Puget Sound Section finalists will be announced after results of the Local Examination are known.
