About ACS and WIBS

The American Chemical Society (ACS) is the world’s largest scientific society and one of the world’s leading sources of authoritative scientific information. A nonprofit organization, chartered by Congress, ACS is the professional home for chemists, chemical engineers and related professions around the globe

The Washington-Idaho Border Section (WIBS) is one of many local sections of the ACS. Our section encompasses the southeast quadrant of Washington State and part of the central panhandle of Idaho.

WIBS consists of more than 200 ACS members many of whom are faculty and staff at the University of Idaho, Washington State University, and Lewis Clark State College.  We also have many student members and retired or emeritus members.
