National Chemistry Week

In 2015 we celebrated, "Chemistry Colors our World". It was a huge success!

NCW encourages chemists and chemistry enthusiasts to build awareness of chemistry at the local level. Local Sections, businesses, schools, and individuals are invited to organize or participate in events in their communities with a common goal: to promote the value of chemistry in everyday life.

NCW discussions on ACS Network and Facebook:

The ACS Office of Community Activities staff uses the ACS Network NCW Group and Facebook (search "Meg A. Mole" or "National Chemistry Week") as a place to hold discussions on event planning, collaborations, and sharing your successes. We encourage you to share photos and videos of your events and to make lasting connections with these great social networking tools.

The NCW 2015 theme was "Chemistry Colors Our World", focusing on the chemistry of food colors and fireworks, rainbows, natural dyes and pigments, and more.
