Awards
"Southwest Georgia Local Section ACS and Optima Chemical Award" and it is given to the outstanding students in chemistry (selected by each of the colleges served by the section according to their own process). These names are requested to the colleges in the beginning of the Spring semester. Students are awarded a plaque (sponsored by our section) and a money gift card (sponsored by Optima Chemical).
