As 2019 winds down, we have a great deal to celebrate from this past year. From the Spring National Meeting to our National Chemistry Week event, our membership has done so many great things! We would like to specifically honor our recent award winners.

The Orlando Section’s annual awards banquet was held on Saturday, December 7th at the Blue Heron Restaurant in Titusville.

On Saturday, October 26th, the Orlando Section of the American Chemical Society organized an event at the Orlando Science Center in celebration of the 2019 National Chemistry Week (NCW).  At the event Orlando Section volunteers guided children and their parents through seven separate hands-on activities and experiments pertaining to Marvelous Metals (this year’s NCW theme).  15 volunteers participated in serving over 200 participants.  Thank you to all of our volunteers who were willing to give of their time on a Saturday in order to help our youth celebrate chemistry!  And a special thank you to Ms. Audrey Preston who was the Outreach Coordinator for this event!

If you are interested in volunteering with Orlando Section activities, contact:  We would love to find an enjoyable volunteer opportunity for you!
