Clean Production Action, in coordination with the University at Buffalo SUNY and the New York State Pollution Prevention Institute, will hold a one day GreenScreen® for Safer Chemicals introductory workshop on June 4 in Buffalo.  GreenScreen is a comparative chemical hazard screening method developed by Clean Production Action to help move our society toward the use of greener and safer chemicals. This will be the final of six workshops funded by US EPA’s Great Lakes Restoration Initiative.

This day-long training will be of particular interest to business experts in supply chain management, materials selection, procurement, product and process design, environmental health and safety, sustainability, and regulatory affairs who need to select safer chemicals for their products. The training will feature case studies from HP and Oatey, as well as a case study showing how GreenScreen was used to evaluate nano and solar technologies.

Space for the GreenScreen training is limited, and pre-registration is required. For more information and registration, see the GreenScreen website.
