The Global Innovation Imperatives (Gii) is an ACS program that was originally started and implemented as a collaborative venture between the American Chemical Society’s American Chemical Society’s Committee on Corporation Associates (ACSCCA) and the U.K.-based Society of Chemical Industry. The Gii Mission is to create community and knowledge transfer to stimulate global scientific innovation that meets societal imperatives. In particular, collaborating in areas where it can stimulate industrial innovation to tackle societal imperatives. The first imperative chosen for the Gii program is water. We have a strong and growing community that includes academia, industry and government, both in the US and internationally.
