The call for nominations for the 2013 National Chemical Technician Award (NCTA) is now open.  Nominees must be currently employed as a chemical technician, and must have worked as a chemical technician for a minimum of five years.  Nominees do not need to be an ACS member. The award will consist of a trip for the winner and a guest to the Spring American Chemical Society National Meeting; April 7 -11, 2013, New Orleans, LA.  Additionally, the awardee will receive a $1000.00 honorarium at dinner held in their honor in New Orleans.    Nomination packets must be received by the Committee on Technician Affairs (CTA), no later than September 30, 2012.

Below you will find the ACS Webinars schedule for July 12, 2012.

Apply now for the Fall round of Division Innovative Project Grants (IPG).


Divisions are invited to apply for funding for up to two projects totaling up to $12,500 per year. The maximum funding per project is $7,500.


The deadline is July 1, 2012.

The deadline for receipt of the Fall 2012 round of IPG proposals is June 30, 2012.

Each local section IPG proposal can be funded up to $3,000.


Since the review committee anticipates the Fall grant round to be very competitive, please adhere to the IPG guidelines found on the Local Section IPG webpage to maximize chances for funding.
