Re: Local Sections Helping the Unemployed Webinar

How did this session go?  I am retired.  I might become a director in the local section (Philadelphia).  Employment, careers, assistance for the unemployed and like issues are of interest.  What section was this?  I have never heard of anything like this here.  Since this is my first day posting on this ACS network, maybe you should comment to my email address (?):   risteyw@yahoo.com

Thanks for any input you could provide.

Re: Local Sections Helping the Unemployed Webinar

The webinar went well.  Two local sections, Georgia and Brazosport, talked about programs they have each offered their membership for career transitions, etc. and tools and resources were provided by two ACS groups, Committee on Economic and Professional Affairs (CEPA) and the Leadership Advisory Board (LAB).  We will be posting the entire transcript of the webinar on the acs.org website around the first of September (www.acs.org/localsections).
