Dr. Heldreth is the chemist at a non-profit organization in Washington, DC. Therein, he participates in the retrieval and analysis of data relevant to the safety assessment of individual chemicals used in cosmetic formulations, presents these findings for public comment and review by an expert panel, and prepares final assessments for publication in the open scientific literature. Additionally, he is responsible for the application of structure/activity and data gap analyses to support the expansion of each safety assessment and to address the maximum number of related chemicals used in cosmetics.
