I am working on the uses of gold and gold-coated nanoparticles in biological and medical applications. This includes the modification of nanoparticles with biomolecules as well as the assembly of nanoparticles via biomolecular interactions. I would like to further my research by learning how to do cell transfection and gene knockdown studies, as well as learn about animal testing of nanoparticle based systems. While I am an analytical chemist, biology has always been a passion of mine, and I would like to expand my research areas.
