Molenium was born in Columbus, Ohio and moved to D.C. 15 years ago when hired by the ACS. His mother is the Director of Chemistry at the ACS and his father was a famous American chemist (we cannot mention his name due to privacy reasons). His favorite chemist of all time is Marie Curie, who inspires him every day. His mentor, and tennis partner, Frederick Sanger received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry two times!
