Lignin Sulfonate CAS 8062-15-5 is mainly used for dust control on gravel roads. It is a naturally occurring polymer found in wood. The chemical has been found to be non-harmful to plants, animals, and aquatic life when manufactured and applied properly. The chemical works by binding the particles together. In wood, it holds the cellulose fibers together, and on a road, it holds particles together, which keeps cars from making a lot of dust on gravel roads. This chemical does have other applications, namely in animal feed and plasterboard.
