MAPS Training Opportunities at the Boston Meeting

MAPS (Meeting Abstracts Programming System) will open in August for submissions for the 251st ACS national meeting that will be held in San Diego. For this planning cycle Program Chairs will have access to the system to:

•           Update/edit abstracts

•           Move abstracts within a symposium

•           Change duration and session dates/times

•           Edit session titles

•           Add expected attendance

•           Add actual attendance

•           Add cosponsors

•           Note newsworthy sessions

•           Designate half-day sessions

Training on these items will be conducted on Wednesday, August 19th, 2:00 – 6:00 pm and Thursday, August 20th, 9:00 am—1:00 pm during the National Meeting Programming Summit. During the Summit attendees will also learn about their role as program chair; participate in discussions about collaborating on future programming; and discuss strategies for improving the national meeting program planning process and how ACS can help them to be successful.
