Currently my project involves:
1. Syntheses of zeolite (ZSM-5) and mixed-metal oxide (heterogeneous) catalyst prepartion for industrial use and
2. Building a UHV chemisorption apparatus for characterizing metal dispersion.
In my graduate study, my research mainly focuses on development of new methods and their application to synthetic organic chemistry. At one time or another I have done work in several synthetic organic projects which are later on applied to nanomaterials, nano-biomedicine and nano-composite formation.
Specialties:
Nanotechnology, nanocomposites, organic syntheses, functionalization of nanomaterials (single-walled carbon nanotubes, graphite, fullerenes), heterogeneous catalysis, zeolite syntheses and scaling up catalyst.
