I'm making polymers based on functionalized stilbenes. Stilbene derivatives are a group of versatile monomers, which impart sterical crowding along the polymer backbone and make the polymers functionalized. I'm interested incorporate these electron-rich stilbene derivatives and electron-poor monomers, like maleic anhydride, into polymer backbone via free radical polymerization. I'm also interested in investigating the solution properties of these polymers, such as viscosity, aggregation and etc.
