Useful ACS resources on COVID-19

Blog Post created by H.N. Cheng on Mar 21, 2020

Christopher LaPrade at ACS kindly supplied the following links to the scientific resources that ACS, ACS Publications, and CAS have produced on COVID-19, including its mechanisms, potential therapeutics/vaccines and other pertinent information. You may be familiar with them, but (just in case) I am posting them below.  All of these resources are provided open access during the outbreak to support the widespread dissemination of literature that can support a better understanding of the virus.

1.   CAS has compiled a special report on scientific information on COVID-19 and related coronaviruses. This report was published in ACS Central Scienceon March 12 and has attracted a huge number of views.  https://pubs.acs.org/doi/full/10.1021/acscentsci.0c00272

2.   ACS Publications has created a virtual and constantly updated issue on Chemistry in Coronavirus Research. The articles in this compilation include a range of topics, from characterization of the virus structure and infection to development of treatment and preventative measures. Articles from this issue come from the entire suite of ACS Publications including JACS, Medicinal Chemistry, ACS Nano, ChemRxiv, and others.   https://pubs.acs.org/page/vi/chemistry_coronavirus_research?utm_source=pubs_cont ent_marketing&utm_medium=axial&utm_campaign=0120_JHS_coronavirus&ref=pubs_conten t_marketing

3.  C&EN’s coverage of COVID-19 has also been made free-of-charge to the public as well.     https://cen.acs.org/sections/Tracking-the-novel-coronavirus.html
