Research and Special Interests: Conducted research into the effects of light irradiation on carbon-carbon (CC) coupling reactions. Determined conversions and yields using gas chromatography. Analyzed the reaction mechanism using NMR techniques and elemental analysis. Investigated the reoxidation of Pd(0) to Pd(II) in oxidative CC coupling reactions. As head of the inorganic chemistry laboratory course (for non-chemistry majors), was responsible for up to 500 students, 20 teaching assistants, and 2 chemical technicians, solved interpersonal problems and facilitated students – all in German.
