I am currently engaged in both mechanistic studies and catalytic applications of late transition metal based complexes. A primary focus lies in tandem catalysis involving transfer dehydrogenation coupled with olefin functionalisation.
My graduate work was focused on the chemistry of the main group elements. In particular the preparation, characterisation and reactivity of highly electrophilic group 13 species.
I also have a long standing interest in the construction of conjugated organic molecules for use in materials chemistry applications.
