My thesis was based on the reaction of ground state atomic oxygen, in the triplet P state, with a series of alkynes to elucidate the reason for varying amounts of HCO that is formed from these reactions. Experimental studies were carried out utilizing the Cavity Ringdown Laser Absorption Technique, while theoretical studies were carried out at the MP2/6-311G++(d,p) level of theory.
