Research and Special Interests: I am the Inorganic Chemistry professor at Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA. My research is part of the broad fields of lanthanide chemistry and green chemistry. We currently have three active projects: (1) coordination and luminescence of novel Ln(III) complexes containing tripodal aminophenol Schiff-base-derived ligands; (2) changes in particle size and morphology of lanthanide oxides produced via precipitation stripping; and (3) the influence of microwave irradiation on metal-catalyzed coupling reactions
