Cal ACS at the East Bay Mini Maker Faire - 23 October 2016

The California Section celebrated Mole Day at the East Bay Mini Maker Faire in Oakland, CA on Sunday 23 October 2016.  Our table featured the NCW 2016 theme activity, Latent Fingerprint Detection, and we encouraged Do-It-Yourself science education with NCW souvenirs and copies of Celebrating Chemistry in English and Spanish.  This was our first appearance at this annual event, which draws thousands of visitors who come to learn from hundreds of local makers, educators, and other do-it-yourselfers.  Perfect fall weather contributed to a delightful day for our volunteers -- a big Thank You to Al Verstuyft, Nanetta Pon, Dan Calef, and Bertha deLanda!
