ACS Public Outreach at the Franklin Institute - 20 August 2016

The ACS Office of Volunteer Support (OVS) and the Committee on Community Activities opened the Philadelphia National Meeting with another successful public outreach event, hosted by the Franklin Institute on Saturday, August 20th, 2016.  The huge seated statue of Benjamin Franklin presided over this free event in the rotunda near the front entrance.  The ACS provided the materials for eight hands-on activities, and dozens of volunteers from local colleges and universities were ready to present them to hundreds of kids, with assistance from close to 20 CCA members and associates.  What a great start to our Philadelphia visit!
