When requesting a group hub, you will need to be aware that we have several levels of permissions available. As the requester you will be designated owner.
You may request other users to be designated as owners as well. Owners may invite and assign others as curators, inviters, and members.
Here is a summary of what the different roles allow:
An Owner can:
- Delete group hubs that they create
- Modify group hub settings
- Invite users
- Approve or deny requests to join
- Assign and change member roles
- Manage all content and float posts
- Perform all Member actions
A Curator can:
- Manage all content and float posts
- Invite members
- Perform all Member actions
An Inviter can:
- Invite users
- Perform all Member actions
A Member can:
- Create content
- Reply to content
- Edit their own content
- Delete their own content
- Tag content (if tagging content is permitted in the group hub's parent node)
- Label content (if labeling content is permitted in the group hub's parent node
If you have special needs, i.e. maybe you want to restrict members from creating certain types of content, we can make that adjustment or create a new role.
