Chlorinated lipids toxicity

I washed eggs pack with chlorine bleach and put it in the refrigerator. At the next day all food in the fridge was smelling chlorine and especially open fatty things - a cake and butter. Butter tasted weird. Family members already ate few pieces of the cake and butter despite the taste and smell. Is it dangerous, what chemical compounds were produced in that foods, can cause cancer?
