Can laughing gas be liquified and used in food/drink? Will it have the same effect? If not, is t here a different laughter-inducing element that can be added to food/drink?

Dear Michelle,

No.  N2O liquefies at -86'C at atmospheric pressure.  Also, the effect is by inhalation, so drinking it even in dissolved form my delay or remove the effect felt when it is used as an inhalant.

The most common similar effect from beverages is that induced by consumption of alcohol in food and drinks.  Alcoholic drinks are usually preferred.

i would also be concerned about the safety issues of N2O. There seems to be some side-effects that you would want to avoid.
