Chemical and Biological Instrumentation Learning tools

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has a good resource to learn more about chemical and biological instrumentations? Specifically, HPLC. I've used gas chromatography, but did not have a chance to use HPLC.  A lot of requirements for jobs have HPLC listed. I am interested in learning how to use one on my own, but I might have to go for a master's degree to get my hands on one. Any advice or leads?

Expanding your skills to include HPLC is a smart move for job prospects, especially if you're already familiar with GC. While a Master's degree offers hands-on experience, you can gain valuable knowledge through various online resources like vendor learning centers (e.g., Thermo Fisher, Shimadzu) and specialized platforms like CHROMacademy and Axion Labs, which provide detailed theoretical and practical training. For direct experience, consider enrolling in in-person workshops offered by instrument manufacturers or training providers, or explore volunteer/internship opportunities in academic or industry labs. Networking with professionals on LinkedIn and joining relevant organizations like the ACS can also open doors to learning opportunities and valuable connections
