I find it ironic that ACS comes out with a video about brewing beer, yet there are no brewpubs in Anaheim - at least none showed up when I did a search on RealBeer.com. If anyone has info on where a chemist, after a long day of presentations and tramping around the expo - and not to mention attending Council - can find a good microbrew, please let me know.
Have you tried beermapping.com? Anaheim breweries and brewpubs can be observed under the Los Angeles beer maps (city beer maps) or under the Pacific region....
Hope that helps...
Amy
Try: http://mybrewpub.com/brewpubs/usa/california/
If you filter by city, there's one place listed for Anaheim.
thanks, amy. i searched using 'anaheim, ca' and found JT Schmid's Restaurant and Brewery
it's not quite within walking distance but i'll check it out at least once.

thanks, bryan. there's one, at least, although not near the CC - JT Schmid's Restaurant and Brewery.

You can, perhaps, blame that fact on the teetotaling, family-oriented Mouseketeer who resides next door.
yeah, but there's also MLB in anaheim. JT Schmids is near the stadium. just got back from there - pretty good beers, and the food is beyond the usual pub fare.
the hyatt's got a decent assortment of beers on tap, though no stouts. the barmaid gave me what she said was "close to a stout" but it was a very hoppy, strong ale. i wasn't complaining.

There is Oggi's Pizza and Brewing Company
Oggi's is next to the Hyatt. Most of the beer is pretty good (I only faulted the IPA as a bit "harsh" on the bitterness, and I do like strongly hopped beers
so it was not hoppiness per se). A sampler of 8 3 oz pours was $12.95, the food was more moderately priced $10-15 (all dinner prices).
thanks for the tip! for various reasons, i never do samplers, and i usually start with what i like most - stouts - which kinda limits my 2nd and 3rd choices. two nights left for me in anaheim, so i'll wander down to oggi's for one of them.
