DAC funds new division projects through Technical Division Innovative Project Grants (IPGs). This program encourages Technical Divisions to conceive of and implement innovative projects to strengthen the functioning of the division.

Proposed innovative projects must: (1) Be new to the applying division (intended to “seed” new ideas),  (2) Stimulate division member involvement, and  (3) Serve as pilot projects for a continuing division activity, or else take advantage of a unique upcoming opportunity for the division.

Projects that support interaction with other ACS local sections, ACS Divisions, ACS committees, ACS international student chapters, other professional associations, or community groups are especially encouraged, as are programs that foster inclusiveness and participation of diverse division membership.

Grant applications are reviewed at national meetings by the Divisional Enhancement &Outreach Subcommittee of DAC. All divisions that submitted an IPG for consideration at the Denver National Meeting will be alerted as to how it fared no later than March 24.

For complete information on how to submit an IPG, including the application form, click here. The deadline for next round of IPGs, which will be considered in Boston, is July 1.
