Three positions for graduate students master or PhD level are available in new carbon management lab in the Department of Natural Sciences in UMES. The lab is supervised by Dr. Volkis. Two positions are in Toxicology program and one position in UMD MEES program. Projects will be in the field of reversible biocompatible capturing of carbon dioxide on polymeric membranes. The project will include some polymer synthesis and characterization and carbon dioxide capturing experiments on state of art equipment. Preference will be given to minority students underrepresented in science. Support is available for excellent candidates. Must be US citizens or permanent residents to receive the support. I will take student from India. However, student will have to take care on his/her visa status. Also the support for this project can only be provided to US citizen or permanent resident.
