About the Orlando Section

One of a growing number of American Chemical Society (ACS) Local Sections, the Orlando Section promotes public awareness of chemistry by being involved in community outreach programs and by working with students and teachers of chemistry and science. We hope to encourage an interest in the chemical sciences.

ACS has 185 Local Sections throughout the country. If you are an ACS member you are also automatically a member of your local section.  The ACS Orlando Local Section represents seven counties in Central Florida: Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Orlando ACS, please point your browser to Join ACS for more information.  If you are already an ACS member and would like more information about the Orlando Section, please call or email the Orlando ACS Chair (contact information below). The Orlando Section by-laws may obtained here: ACS Orlando by-laws
