Hello Orlando Section Members!

National Chemistry Week (NCW) is a public awareness campaign that promotes the value of chemistry in everyday life. As part of this initiative by ACS, your Orlando Local Section will be coordinating an event at the Orlando Science Center that will focus on this year’s topic, Marvelous Metals. Some examples of cool science that will be on display include floating a metal boat, having iron for breakfast, and “good vibrations”! Our event this year will be held on October 26th from 11am-4pm at the Orlando Science Center (777 E Princeton St, Orlando, FL 32803).

We are looking for volunteers from the local section to help us setup and organize the experiments during the event. This is a great way to share your passion for chemistry with the public, including future scientists! Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering for this great event!
