The Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence at the University of York, UK offers a 1-year MSc in Green Chemistry and Sustainable Industrial Technology. This course, the first of its kind to be accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry, is designed to equip students with key skills in green chemistry and green chemical technology. Successfully running for 17 years, course content is continually updated to ensure it reflects the new ideas and innovations essential to meeting industry and society's growing needs for green chemistry and clean technology. Students have access to exceptional facilities in the Green Chemistry Centre of Excellence. Our building includes:
- state-of-the-art laboratories
- 20 fume hoods
- an instrumentation room
- a reactor room
- a bespoke Industrial Engagement Facility
In addition, the GCCE also works closely with the Biorewables Development Centre so students can see firsthand the commercialization of biobased products and processes.
Situated in the historic city of York, regularly named one of the best places to live and visit in the UK, students have access to beautiful countryside and are less than two hours from London by train.
