Why is the ACS Network closing?
ACS is investing in new platforms designed to better support how you share information, connect with peers, and collaborate—tailored to meet the demands of your busy professional and personal lives. Recent audits and user research have shown a steady decline in engagement across the ACS Network.
How long do I have access to my profile and account?
Until January 31, 2026
I want to retrieve old content, and I can’t find it. What happened?
We are removing public access to content published before January 1, 2023. If you maintained a group or page and haven’t accessed it, that content is declared abandoned and will be deleted. If you’ve published content after January 1, 2023, please retrieve what you need and save it before January 31, 2026.
What if I maintained/moderated a group or page for an ACS committee, division, local section or other volunteer group and need help with saving or deleting content?
For committees, please reach out to your ACS staff liaison. For other volunteer groups, these staff contacts can assist you:
Where can I find my favorite ACS groups and communities?
You can still find ACS Committees, Local Sections, and Divisions at acs.org. Looking for the GCI Nexus Blog? Subscribe to the GCI Nexus Blog Newsletter.
What will happen if I click on a link or have a bookmark to the ACS Network?
We have done a thorough audit of our own references to the Network to remove them and are working with local sections, divisions, and other component groups to remove them from their materials as well. There may be some links that remain, in addition to any personal bookmarks.
The links will no longer work when the Network is taken down. The user will be redirected to an appropriate page on acs.org.
