Do you know of a current job opening or employer that might be hiring?

If so, please post basic information about the position and employer to help your colleagues.   Also, please insert tags for the state (e.g. New Mexico) and field of science (e.g., pharmaceutical) to assist those searching.  THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PAYING IT FORWARD ON THIS CRITICAL SUBJECT!

Re: Do you know of a current job opening or employer that might be hiring?

There are quite a few positions listed at www.dow.com/careers.   You can search the listing  by geography, location, or discipline; postings can weekly.  Examples of current postings are:    analytical chemist (Minnesota), R&D interns (several locations), polyurethanes scientist (Texas), and quality manager (Massachusetts, 10 yrs experience).     I recommend that job seekers don't restrict themselves to departments such as R&D but look at the entire listing for roles that suit their background and interests.

Nancy, as a result of registering on www.job.com, I receive periodic alerts of job openings.  I strongly sugges that anyone seeking employment explore this site and follow up on the job openings.  Registrants are asked to complete form and share resume.  Evidently, this information is used to identify positions that are best fits.

Re: Do you know of a current job opening or employer that might be hiring?

Other people have given you good adivce.

I would also stress finding out about companies and checking for job openings tha may be listed on their websites. You might also want to use an Internet search engine to search by company name plus key words such as "job" or "job opening."

Good luck!

Re: Do you know of a current job opening or employer that might be hiring?

I'll make a plug for my employer, Lawrence Livermore National Lab (in the San Francisco Bay Area).  There are a number of job postings, in various fields, and these change periodically so you'd need to check back from time to time.  See careers.llnl.gov.
