Non-Tenure Track Chemistry Instructor

The Department of Natural Sciences at Saint Martin’s University seeks a full-time non-tenure track instructor for the Chemistry program. This is a one-year appointment beginning August 15, 2021, which may be renewable based on need and mutual agreement. The successful candidate will have a M.S. or Ph.D. in chemistry. All areas of chemistry will be considered, but preference will be given to candidates prepared to teach Biochemistry. Duties include teaching lecture and lab courses as needed in the Chemistry program, and holding office hours. Specific teaching assignments will be based on the expertise of the candidate, and may include classes and/or labs in any field of chemistry. Full-time assumes 2 semesters of instruction per year, and includes the university’s standard benefits package. Adjunct Chemistry Instructor

The Chemistry Department at Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach both upper- and lower- division courses, including analytical chemistry. We prefer candidates that have skills using and troubleshooting instrumentation and that have either post-doctoral research experience or experience conducting research with undergraduates. The successful applicant will be expected to develop a vibrant research program with external funding involving undergraduate students. Additional responsibilities will include mentoring and advising as well as service on academic committees. The department (http://www.plu.edu/chemistry/) offers ACS-certified degrees. Instrumentation and resources include 500 MHz FT-NMR, AFM, GC/MS, HPLC, FTIR, Raman, UV/VIS, ICP-MS, GPC, a glovebox, potentiostats, and a variety of computational chemistry software.
Assistant Professor of Chemistry
