Join Cedar Crest College’s Signs Club for an overview of American Sign Language (ASL) alphabet and numbers, as well as explore general words related to STEM. ASL is a visual language. With signing, the brain processes linguistic information through the eyes, and facial expressions and body movements play an important part in conveying information. We hope you will bring words or phrases you would like to learn and use.
Schedule: 7:00-7:10 - Introductions & discussion on the culture of the deaf and hard of hearing/recent impacts on the community due to COVID 19 7:10-7:45 - ASL alphabet/numbers/phrases 7:45-8:00 - wrap up & questions
