Choosing switch orientation

When it comes to choosing switch orientation for a mechanical keyboard, there are two main options: horizontal and vertical. Here are some considerations to help you decide which orientation is best for you:

  1. Comfort: Comfort is a key consideration when choosing switch orientation. If you have a preference for a particular hand posture when typing, such as a flat  of Choosing switch orientation or angled hand position, then you may prefer horizontal switches, which allow for more flexibility in positioning your hands. On the other hand, if you prefer a more natural hand posture with your fingers angled slightly inward, then vertical switches may be more comfortable for you.

  2. Typing Style: Your typing style can also play a role in choosing switch orientation. If you tend to type with your fingers curled, then vertical switches may be more comfortable for you as they follow the natural angle of your fingers. If you tend to type with your fingers straight, then horizontal switches may be a better fit.
