(Note: if you are reading this as a blog post in the group you have already accomplished Steps 1 and 2.  Nice job!)

As a Local Section Chair or Chair-Elect, you’re receiving this email because you are the de facto ACS Speaker Planner for your section and are entitled to access this private group. To join the group:

  1. Login at www.acs.org/network using your ACS ID. If you do not have an ACS ID, you will need to create one.
  2. Once logged in, go to https://communities.acs.org/groups/speaker-directory and request to join the group.  Your request will be vetted and processed as quickly as possible.
  3. Once you are a member of the group, you may search Speaker Profiles based on name, field of expertise (Category), geographical location (State) or general keyword search.
  4. When you identify a speaker of interest, contact them directly using the contact information listed at the bottom of their profile.  All arrangements for speaking engagements, including lodging, meals and reimbursements, are made directly between the Speaker Planner and the Speaker.
  5. After a speaker engagement, please log back in and rate the speaker (1-5 stars).  You are also welcome to leave (respectful and objective) comments about the presentation.
