Consumers want ethical seals of approval when buying clothes, food, and other necessities which has led to companies including ecolabels on everything from sneakers to hamburgers. Companies, schools, and labs can apply these same principles when buying equipment or chemicals, but making sustainable choices requires the accurate measurement and labeling of environmental footprint data for those materials. Current advances in the practice of eco-labelling have the potential to improve the environmental footprint of processes, and to drive the market value of products.

Join Michael Overcash, Chief Executive Officer of Environmental Genome, Peter Saling, Director of Sustainability Methods of BASF, and Jeffery Whitford, Head of Corporate Responsibility and Branding of MilliporeSigma as they explore innovative approaches to empower everyone along the supply chain to make sustainable purchasing decisions through improved carbon footprint and next generation life cycle inventory data.

This ACS Webinar is moderated by Alan Steven, Chief Scientist of CatSci and co-produced with the ACS Green Chemistry Institute.
