Do you need ideas and resources to assist you in planning your IYC-2011 activities? ACS is happy to announce the launch of their new and improved IYC website where you will find valuable resources such as IYC planning toolkits and other helpful information. Organize a Networking Breakfast to Bring Together Women in Chemistry
Women Sharing a Chemical Moment in Time is an IYC activity designed to bring chemistry women together worldwide for a breakfast meeting on January 18, 2011. The event precedes the official launch of IYC 2011 in Paris with the aim of celebrating the role of Marie Curie in chemistry.
The breakfast meetings will be linked together based on similarity of time zones. On the day of the networking breakfast, regional or international connections can be made using Skype or other VOIP/conferencing methods, SMS text messaging, or Twitter.
Start thinking about how this event might work in your community and get in touch by email to share what you have in mind. Alternatively, consider registering your event on the global IYC website. To date, colleagues in over 20 countries worldwide have expressed interest in this networking event.
