The International Human Rights Network of Academies and Scholarly Societies has helped draft a petition in English in behalf of Professor Kemal Guruz, who is unjustly imprisoned in Turkey. (A Turkish language version of the petition now has more than 2,000 signatures -- http://imza.la/prof-dr-kemal-guruz-tutuksuz-yargilansin). We are helping to circulate the petition in English for as many signatures of scientists and academics as we can get.
