On January 25, 2025, a crisp early afternoon in Salina, Kansas, the Wichita Local Section of the American Chemical Society (ACS) gathered for a memorable and productive meeting at the beloved local restaurant, Martinelli's. The vibrant atmosphere of the Italian eatery provided the perfect backdrop for an event brimming with fruitful discussions, camaraderie, and delightful cuisine.

 

Many ACS members attended, filling the room with enthusiastic conversations and innovative ideas. The meeting featured discussions on the current happenings in the section and quickly turned to the initial planning for the ACS Midwest Regional Meeting (MWRM) 2029. The productive dialogue underscored the group's commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and fostering a supportive professional community.

 

The business portion of the meeting was intermingled with wonderful food, laughter, and discussions about the happenings in each other’s lives.
