The Wilson Dam Section of the ACS was established in 1937 with the purpose of encouraging the advancement of chemistry in all of its branches; improving the qualifications and usefulness of chemical professionals through high standards of ethics, education, and attainments; promoting educational programs which further growth and development in chemistry; and promoting scientific interests and inquiry by its meetings, exhibitions, lectures, discussions, publications, and professional contacts.
Dan Norman, was chairman of the Wilson Dam Section in 1978-79. Due to his leadership, WDS won the Small Section Award. He and his wife are volunteers in the testing of Pfizer's vaccine. Here he briefly looks back at the path that science has lead him in his career and his current volunteering in the Pfizer study.
